Dallas to Sturgis
 

Hi all,

We are a father and son team out of Australia (both named Sam, thus the username), who are planning a trip to Sturgis,

We are starting our trip from Dallas in the first week of July, heading through Memphis, Nashville, Chicago and across to Sturgis for the rally on the 3rd of August.

Along the way we want to see as much of America as possible and we look forward to meeting as many people as we can while riding across your great country.

If anyone has any suggestions on roads to ride or places to visit/ stay or would just like to get in contact,

Probably a good idea to decide where you will camp in Sturgis and make reservation. Leadville, Crazy Horse, Mt Rushmore, Custer Battlefield. Lots of good people watching. Insane traffic.

Sounds like you've got your route pretty much decided, but if you have any flexibility, riding out west in generally much better than in the midwest/south, where you'll be spending most of your time.

For specific routes/people, you might want to ask on ADVRider, where they have subfora for specific regions of the US.
