Desert Trips in Dubai - info needed

I am just new on this fabulous website and forum - will visit many times in the future, I am sure.

Quick question to anybody who might be able to help me: I happen to be in Dubai in April (passing through really) and I want to spend a day riding a bike into the desert to build my riding skills in the sand. I will not have any kit with me, and also need to rent a bike. Ideally, I would like to have a guide as well (or join a guided tour) so I woun´t get lost.

Can anybody help with with contacts in Dubai, rentals, guides, adventure tour organizers, etc.?

Try Sandstorm motorcycles in Dubai.

I rented a Honda 450CRF from them last month for a few days of dune bashing around Al Awir. They will also provide you with a guide and all your kit.

Give me a call when you're here and I'll see if I can get you a bike and take you out. It would need to be a weekend though.

If that doesn't work out, I can show you where Sandstorm is.

Hi,
you should contact James West (james@ktm.ae). They are renting out 450's inclusive riding gear. Their "KTM Farm" is in Al Awir, a few minutes from Dubai. From there you can directly head of to the dunes.
