East Africa going north, no more Ethiopian visa in Nairobi
 

It is probably well documented already, but wanted to mention that it is not possible anymore to get the ethiopian visa in Nairobi. You can't get it at the border either. You can try previous country, no idea if it would work.
From Kenya, only option is to DHL your passport to th ethiopian embassy of your own country.

During my cape town -Cairo trip when i was in Kenya last November i went to the Ethiopian Embassy with 2 south African and a kiwi guy ,and me holding Egyptian passport ,every one got the visa but me .....:oops2:
They told me i cant get the visa from Kenya and have to go and get it from Egypt,
after i spoke with the Egyptian embassy to help:helpsmilie: me and they contacted Ethiopian Embassy in Nairobi who promised to issue it for me ,
so they Ethiopian brothers told me to wait to get approval from Adis
every time i go to the Ethiopian embassy they tell me tomorrow after tomorrow and so on.:thumbdown: :thumbdown:
after waiting for 3 weeks
had to fly back to Egypt get the damn Ethiopian visa and fly back to Nairobi and then riding North ,
was so hard time and much money to spent.
thanks god wasnt that hard to fly to Egypt ,but imagine you are a family from Canada ,or Brazil ,or Japan !!!!
that will be nightmare
