Europe off road
 

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to ride from Italy to the UK purely on dirt roads?

Not fussed about the route, but would like to take in 80% off road tracks if possible.

Has anyone done it before?

Nice idea, but probably impractical on motos due to the 'prarie style' farming. But I am interested in exploring this idea.

I am inspired to try something similar by friends who a few years back took mountain bikes from Chamonix to Biarritz. They drew a straight line on the map and followed that line as closely as possible through fields, woods, hills etc. Oddly enough, it was generally towns that caused most of their deviations.
