Final route through Pakistan?! - But only have 15 days to get from Nepal to Iran
Hi,
I will be traveling from Nepal back to Germany in two weeks and this is what my route looks like: http://s23.postimg.org/jhj605ior/Kal...oogle_Maps.png The only problem is that my Iranian Visa is only valid if I enter Iran within 15 days after I pick it up at my embassy (something about elections and that this is the only visa they issue... doh). So it will probably take me 5 days (starting from pickup) to enter Pakistan so I will have approx. 10 days there. Looking at my limited time does my route make sense, is there a better route (like the ones marked with ?) and what places are a must to visit? Thanks you so much, Chris |
Both those ?-marks are on areas, that are off-limits for foreigners. If you only have 10 days, I'm not sure you'll be able to visit KKH, and exit to Iran.

As I see it: from India cross into Pakistan and sleep 1 night in Lahore drive up to KKH and sleep 2 nights there drive back to Lahore +1 night then to Multa +1 night Sukkur +2 nights Quetta +1 night and then exit into Iran making 9 days Is this unreasonable? |

Hi Chris! Sounds like a plan. For myself I would probably count with more variables, which really can and will show up in those countries tear up your schedule... But I'm very interested about your trip, because I want to pass the opposite direction within 2 - 3 months. So keep us posted how you are doing and how it goes! Have a good ride and enjoy!! :scooter: Alex |

3 nights on your way to Quetta appear to be to many as it is plain with good divided roads most of the way. Similarly 2 nights for KKH are also too few. Still I feel you can explore a bit of Pakistan in 10 days and if you can add a few more days, KKH too. Lot depends on your riding stamina. Have a nice and safe trip. Cheers Omar |
Thanks a lot for your help so far.
I am currently in Lahore and will be heading to Multan tomorrow, then Sukhar and then put my bike onto the train and head via Quetta to the Iranian Boarder - because my Iranian Visa expires if I dont enter by the 25th. Its really amazing what kind of people you meet on such a trip and who hospital and friendly everyone is! Once I have a little bit more time I will write a detailed report Best, Chris http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...urkey-bulgaria |
