How to : Accor F1 hotels
Hi folks, I'm rather new to posting here, I have a question regarding the F1 hotels. I'd like to book one online, and arrive quite late at night, can anyone offer any advice to remind me how they work. I used one ages ago, must have paid at the time of booking online, then I used a machine outside the door of the hotel to gain access. I managed it, it was probably quite simple, but I don't want to get stuck outside
Would the machine have asked for a booking number ? Did I swipe the card used for the payment ? I seem to remember it printing a receipt or a key card ? Then this was used to access the front door and for the hotel room Any help, much appreciated Many thanks Paul |
I used F1 hotels last year so this should (hopefully !) still be current.
I arrived after midnight a few times - main vehicle gate was shut. Used pedestrian access to get to front door, touch screen to check in by either swiping card used to make booking or inputting booking reference. English language option for instructions ! Then print code for room/front door/gate - back to vehicle, open gate and off you go to bed ! |
If you look at the main webpage for the Accor group you will see that they have rebranded their hotels.
e.g. Accor no longer use the Etap branding. I believe some of the F1 have been rebranded to become varieties of the 3 levels of Ibis brand (Ibis "standard", Ibis Styles and Ibis budget). For instance, I stayed in a Mercure last year (which earlier had been a Novotel brand) and got the room for a very good rate by booking in advance. They all belong to the Accor group. |
Brilliant info ! Thank you for your replies, good to know about those other brands, I'll search when I'm planning my trip
Thanks again Paul |
