Hi all, I'm looking for the same need this year , mid-August, to ship my bike from Japan to Europe (Ideally France, but can be anywhere in Europe in fact). I'm planning a road-trip from my home in France to Tokyo through Europe, Russia, Mongolia, and will arrive in Japan by ferry from Vladivostok.
I red that some of you guys did such a shipping from Japan to Europe already, and I would be more than interested for some feed-back about the way it has been made, costs, port departure in Japan and Port arrival in Europe, etc...
I've today first contacts - thanks to Chris here - with Interfracht (I'll have a RoRo quotation tomorrow normally) and James Cargo (first email).

I shipped my bike from Tokyo to Bremerhaven/Germany via Interfracht. They have a branch in Tokyo, have best service and are very reliable. and the best fact: they don´t over charge nor do they charge additional costs while the shipment is in progress, as many have experienced when shipping their bikes. One price fits it all, it was 1300 € all in!
Best experience, and no, I am not related to this company in any way!:nono:
