India to SE Asia without a Plane!
 

Hi All

I am riding to New Delhi, arriving there early November. My final destination is Australia, but i want to travel through SE Asia without taking a plane. What are my options? Currently i am looking at riding to Kathmandu, shipping the bike to Bangkok, then going by foot through Tibet down to Bangkok to meet my bike. However i cannot find a tour going from Kathmandu to Lhasa, they all go in the opposite direction. Am i best to just get to Kathmandu and enquire when i am there? Or what are the borders like for Burma? Is it supposed to be fly in and fly out only?
