india to europe without carnet ?

Hello all,

I know the questions have been discussed many times on the Hubb, but I can not find recent threads ... so I'm going again hoping for experienced advices !

Like many others, after driving a crap bike around southeast asia for many months, I'd love to buy a bike in India and drive it to europe, via amazing Pakistan, Iran and Turkey.

I've read the "plan your trip section" and especially everything about the Carnet the Passage ... and know that I won't be able to get a Carnet with the indian bike. And I'm not planing to go to Nepal to get it ... so the QUESTION IS, is it possible to go through Pak, Iran and Turkey WITHOUT the Carnet ??

I met some riders that told me it was possible ... that I would maybe have to put the bike on a train from India-Paki border to Paki-Iran border ... and that in Iran I would not need the Carnet, but just to pay for a road inssurance. Do you guys know about this ? Did anyone take the chance recently ???

Every advices will be taken as great presents !!
Thanks in advance to everyone ... and have a good day.
Paul

Can´t say for sure that it´ll be impossible, but would it be any fun is another question? Banging your head against the bureaucracy in that part of the world might not be everyone´s idea of a holiday

Here´s a recent thread about the subject:

For Turkey,
you dont need a carnet..Your bike will be stamped on your passport page with a 6 months staying period..

Wish you all the best.
