Interesting things to see?

Hello,

My work contract comes to an end in July so it would be good to get away for a few months and just ride, I don't have time to sort out multiple visas etc but would like to see some amazing sites and roadside attractions (think like the burried Cadillac in the US) do we have any of this type of weird stuff in Europe? I haven't decided on a bike yet but will probably be something like a 1999 honda nt650v. Any places to see/visit would be greatly appreciated, also how is Morocco on a touring bike?

This will be my first prolonged tour (before have only done 5 days at most) so any tips would also be helpful!

Thanks everyone.

"Anything interesting to see on this continent?" sure covers a lot of ground. What happened to your last touring plan--the one where you were leaving mid-June two years ago for Asia?

People will go to some trouble to offer answers, but in general it's best if you engage in some way--not just ask a question, then ghost.

Call that a gentle suggestion....with hopes it's helpful.

Mark

These things exist, a daytrip away from here there's a giant robot from an anime show hidden in the forrest, for example ... or I can do a tour around my house of abandoned castles and take in 6 within half a day.

But Europe isn't like America, there's stuff everywhere.

Weird things

No sorry,
we don't have any weird things in Europe. We don't need them
We only have:
  • wonderful roads of all kinds. Twisty tarmac, gravel, trails
  • wonderful nature of all kinds. Mountains, lakes, rivers, forests, wine gardens
  • wonderful historic sites and monuments. Another time scale in thousands of years.
  • wonderful beaches
  • +++

There’s the Oxford shark through the roof house not far from me.

That’s the one the local council said was an eyesore ‘and they’re gonna sue’ to have it removed, and now embrace as a national treasure up there with Stonehenge ‘and they’re gonna sue’ if anyone touches it :rolleyes2:
