Hi!

In the moment we travel through southeast asia and planning to leave this area to Kathmandu in Nepal by air, of course.:cool3:
We can't find any transport from Chiang Mai in Thailand to Nepale.
Has anybody made this???
Is it possible? :helpsmilie:

It seems that everything runs through the capital Bangkok. But we don't like the big cities. So we look for an alternative.

Any experiences?:rolleyes2:

huuu, transport from Chiang Mai to Nepal ??

I dont think you will find something, but speak to Joe (a German running a bike shop in Chiang Mai - Joes Bike Team).

I enjoyed Bangkok very much, but I am a big city chap, grew up in the Ruhr valley and lived in Berlin.

A few days ago I talked to a friend and she took a boat up the Mekong River into China, not with a bike of course. There is a chinese Consulate in Chiang Mai, visa should be easy. You bribe the captain of the boat to take you and the bike(s) and drop you on land after you have done imigration into China. Than you ride to Tibet and cross into Nepal.

Add some adventure to your trip and avoid all big cities.
