Israel ferry
Hi,
does anybody have some info on the ferry from Israel (Haifa) via Cyprus to Piraeus (Athens)? Does it still run and what are the costs. Is it possible to take your Land Rover on it and does Israel allow vehicles in without carnet? Cheers. Roel www.popadd.com/overlandy2006 |
Hello Roel,
I'm trying to find out the same for May 2011. I've contacted Cyprian and Israeli harbor authorities. The only Israeli port you could use is Haifa, but no word from them yet. Cyprus tells me there are no regular services between Cyprus and Israel. Your name sounds Dutch, if you want you can contact me with a private message (in Dutch) to go over some more details. Maybe we can swap some information, what route are you taking? Groeten, Han |
Shit, didn't see the date you posted this...

for those who may need the same information, the ferryline web page still in my notes. ı think not running anymore. Louis cruises from/to Cyprus, Egypt, Greece Rhodes. Ferries from Cyprus limassol and from Egypt Port Said to Greece. Louis cruises timetables, prices, offers and on-line booking system. Greek ferries. |

Hi, I did this trip in 2009 Haifa-Cyprus-Pireas. Booked through Rosenfeld Shipping and they departed on Mondays and Thursdays. I travelled on the boat and I think it cost about 550 euros.

As far as I know, the ferry ceased running in late summer last year (2010).
