Libya Is it Worth The Hassle

Hi all, trying to plan the round the Med trip for next year. Reading on Libya it sounds like there are some issues with travelling independently. Is this possible?:thumbup1:

Hey Julie,

I hav spoken to some Libyans and personally they don't think it be smart to drive/ride through on ur own...
They advice at least a groupe of 5 people...
Not the best country in the world...

The only way to avoid being accompanied is to limit your stay in Libya for less then a week and use a transit visa. I think, aurel did just that: Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Jordan, Syria

But if you want to see something that's not near the coast you will have to fork out the money for a guide. Maybe you find others to share the cost.
