Looking for good routes in Russia & Mongolia

Any suggestions would be great. We would like to ride on and off road.

When are you going? I am planning to go through Mongolia in March/April. I am coming from China, Erenhot going to mandalgovi, ulaanbaatar and then tsetserleg, alaangom and into the Atai in Russia.

We plan on going in the summer of 2009.

How difficult is it to get into China? Expensive?
