looking for information on crossing Africa north to south
 

After 10 years of no big travels on the motorbike, it's time to leave the continent again!
Starting in south-west Germany, we are planning to cross the mediteranean sea beginning november this year (2023) to make our way down to south africa.
Maybe someone of you did it during the last years?
We would be interested in any actual information from bordercrossings to visa, problems because of civil wars, recommendations, webpages with recent information, etc.

I plan on riding in fall from Portugal to Morocco. I will keep an eye on your routes and suggestions.

I asked a mod (Chris) told,

"Hi Jeff, no reason why you can't ride to cape town down the west side.
see sub Sahara forum - lots of people doing it."

I just noticed that "Itchy Boots" is starting a new trip from Morocco south, she's there now.. Might be interesting, entertaining and informative.
