Machu Pichu from Brazil
Hi there. I'm intending to go to Machu Pichu (Peru) starting from my place (Belo Horizonte, Brazil, 500km from São Paulo) at June 2010. It'll be a group trip with 5 to 8 people.
Does anyone has done a similar route? I know there are several options, like crossing Brazil horizontally and reaching Argentina, Chile and Peru, or, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru. Or going up inside Brazil through the Pantanal to Amazon forest, and getting to Bolivia or Peru directly. I'm looking for some tips about this routes. I want to do the trip using a Buell Ulysses. Is it a good choice? :scooter: Regards, Leonardo Muzzi |
North thru Brazil, then west to Peru
Leo,
I came from Cuzco, east to Puerto Maldonado and Porto Velho, then south to Foz. I highly recommend that way, not thru Bolivia (the way we returned). June is a perfect time for this route. See my website of last trip (below). It is now paved most of the way from the Brazil/Peru border to Cuzco... Toby |
Thanks man. I'll consider that route inside Brasil. But I'm thinking about returning throught Argentina to take a diferent route.
I'm reading your site and it's great ! |
