Magadan to Istanbul (via Silk Route)
 

I am considering a trip from Magadan to Istanbul, via Yakutsk, Chita, Ulan Ude, Irkutsk, across Western Mongolia (if possible avoiding Ulaan Baatar), into Western China (barkol), to Urumqi, ALma Ata, Frunze, Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Ashkhabad, Tehran, Tabriz, Yerevan, across Turkey to Istanbul. Planning to leave from Magadan in Summer (June).

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Wow. Is this anywhere near the "road of bones"?

Adrian. Sounds Brilliant. If you want to catch up for a beer let me know as I am back in Melbourne and did some of your intended route last year....ooo that sounds bad. I know of three other Melbourne bikers looking at Russia this northern summer.
