Mali and Guinea Roads

Has anybody any recent experience of

-The road from Dakar to Bamako and Mopti
-The roads in Guinea?

Any information would be helpful.:helpsmilie:

Guinean roads are terrible generally - there are 3 tarred roads, not in great repair (except the Boke - Kamsar chinese financed due to the bauxite mine). Other roads are rough piste at best ... Guinean roads are probably the worst I've experienced in W.Africa.

The other route - I've heard is almost all tarred except a few kms at the Senegal/Mali border near Kedougou
