Maps for Lagunas route

Back in 2015 Mapear Argentina had locally crafted and up to date maps, which happened to cover much of the countries around Argentina, including Bolivia's laguna route.

My understanding is that area particularly north of the national park has undergone extensive change. Does anyone know of up to date maps the area (that I can use in basecamp)?

Hi - I did this recently and just used Maps.Me

From Tupiza head to Villa Palala Bajo (a small town on the edge of Tupiza). Then take the white road labelled 'Camino Tupiza San Vicente', which eventually becomes the 'Camino Quetena Grande Hito Cajon' and takes you all the way to Aguas Termales Chalviri (where the hot springs are).

From the hot springs you can either head South, through the Salvador Dali desert and into the Atacama in Chile. Or, head North towards the salt flats in Uyuni.

You have two options - both marked on Maps.Me. The first option is the orange road called 'Camino Hito Villa Mar' (heavy washboard). The second option is the white road marked as 'Camino Hito Cajon Laguna Colorada' (heavy sand patches). Which is accessed as a left turn from the orange road.

Hope this helps
