Melilla to Dakar - how long?

Hello all,

Roughly planning a morocco to west africa dash. I've seen plenty of morocco before, so am not worried about missing out.

By my estimates, Melilla to Dakar is about 3500km. Does anyone have an estimate of how long it might take to cover this distance without driving (literally) myself mad.

Is 4 days unrealistic? From what i've seen and read, there isn't a huge amount of interest on route...and so it makes sense just to get moving.

Any advice? Our goal is to explore west africa a little.

4 days is too little. You won't enjoy the trip if you are constantly rushing.

I took 8-9 days from Ceuta and tbh that was too quick. About 14 days is what I'd allow next time - there's plenty to see and loads of places to stop at. If you only have four days, then good luck. You could easily lose one of them stuck at borders.

Cheers for the advice. Will heed it!
