MEXICO to TIERRA DE FUEGO - Octuber 2008
Hi riders,
Greetings from Mexico, I am organizing a trip from Cancun to the tierra de fuego Argentina of 90 days, departure middle October 2008, return middle January 2009 I,ll be traveling with my wife on a bmw gs 1200.if anybody wants to join us for this big adventure, please send me a mail and :welcome: Pascal |
Cancun is a long way from here....
Another guy and I are planning on leaving Belligham, Washington for TDF around October 1st. Should be in Mexico by the 3rd or 4th, but then we'll start to slow down a bit and smell the frioles.
He rides an 1150GS and I have a 650GS. I plan on hitting Usuhaia for Christmas and then heading north thru Chile to Santiago. My tentative plan is to be back home by mid January. Have you got a route planned out? How many of you at this time? What is your "riding style"? Go far and fast and rest up in a four start? Go off road and see what's over there and tent at night? Stop at every interesting Cantina and sample the local favorites? Tom:innocent: |
Ushuaia for Christmas
Looks like I need to make some reservations for Ushuaia.
My SO and I will be leaving eastern Canada in mid-September and hope to be in Ushuaia for Christmas. We will be riding 2 up on a BMW R1200GS Adv. Looks like we may have opportunities to meet up. Robert |
Trip plan
Quote:
We are planning to start our trip on Oct 11 starting in Cancun and go first to Guadalajada Jalisco Méx. for the BMW International convention and then on Oct.19th go to the south. We are planning drive about 300 to 800 km per day depending the road and climate. We like start all days early in the morning and drive until 4 or 5 pm. Last month I went to Costa Rica with another biker, and know the road so, we are planning this time jump San Salvador and the frontier, there are bad service and we spend a lot of time in the traffic. Crossing from the Guatemalas´s north is better to arrive n Honduras, and then.. the adventure... we are planning the road, and more or lees is like this: Fecha Cuidad - Estado Pais Km
Total 19244 km For the return our idea is to cross Argentina and Paraguay, Uruguay and Brasil. If you have some information, there are welcome! Hope you going to join us and tell us wath do you think. Regards from Cancun Pas:clap: |

Hi Pascal
You certainly have it all planned out. We will be taking much of the same route but our schedule will be looser. The more we research the more we find we want to see. We are hoping to be in Ushuaia for Christmas but even that is flexible. By the looks of your schedule we could certainly cross paths. Are you aware of the HUBB Meeting in Viedma, Argentinain December? |
HUBB argentina next December
