Moldova/Ukraine insurance and route question
 

Hello, I was looking at taking a last minute trip from Bucharest to Odessa and had a few questions.

Google maps says Bucharest - Galati - Tartarbary - Odessa route. Anyone done this?

My bike is registered here in Romania and I have the green insurance card. There are these little boxes indicating the countries that it's valid in, and if it's not crossed out it's valid in those countries, and Moldova and Ukraine are not crossed out. I don't need supplementary insurance, do I?

Also, what's the road tax in Moldova now?

I did cross from the Delta to Ukraine trough Moldova and Transnistria in 2009. It's been a while but I don't think that it's very different now. We were crossing the border in Galati. Our European green cards was ok in Moldova (no need to pay extra, one bike with UK reg and other from Poland) and there was no additional road tax.
