Mongolia in winter
 

hi everybody,

i am planning on crossing mongolia by bicycle in december from the west border of russia to ulan bator, and head after for russia.

do you have any information about the weather there and the condition during december ?

does somebody did it by motorcycle during the winter and made report ? and don't see nothing.

Hello mate you can try these two sites.14 degress dot org It's trip by Rob Thompson nice bloke he cycled the Pamir Highway it's not mongolia but then the worlds not a perfect place. It'll show some of his kit and he's laid the site out nicley.the other 2wheels dot org dot uk Edward genocchio made this tripboth are cyclistsyou can also try gertoger dot com (I think) it's a charity and they offer accomodation to travellers which will be your main concern as mongolia is rather large and at the moment kinda empty. So crossing it in winter will be a challenge alright.

it's gonna be proper cold... on that you can count....
