Mongolia to India
 

hey everyone.
i am new to this place and this is my first thread post.
i currently live in vienna austria after my military service and i am looking to do an adventure ride in the east. :mchappy:
the idea is to be in mongolia , nepal , tibet , india
to my understanding mongolia has a narrow window of summertime of about 7 - 9 weeks or so, so i was going to start there but a few qustion rised:

1) if i cross from mongolia to china i need a chainese drivers licence? i cant just keep driving there with my drivers licence from what i read, so how do i do it?

2) crossing to china will be at the eastern side because the west side is dangerouse, is it true?

3) how expensive is fuel and sleep for a traveler motorcyclist? no laxury or anything. just gas, food and sleep

it is still in the planning atage, and my options were this or south america, but south america on my opinion became too tourist for my adventure spirit, and so it is dificult to find people who can give good advices on this type of trip on a bike in those areas :confused1:
