Nepal to Laos Sep 2016. 27 days. Who's interested?
Hi, I am thinking of putting together a 27 day trip from Nepal to Laos including Everest base camp, Lhasa, through China and into Laos.I am currently in India and will enter Nepal in May but will need to wait out the rainy season and would be looking at leaving Kathmandu the 1st or 2nd week of September at the latest. I am waiting to get prices back from the tour operator but let me know if you are interested.

Have you check border crossing and timing?
As far as I know, tours to Base Camp are usually 15 days long. Leaving you two weeks for the rest of the trip (if you are not tired enough).
Then, check the situation of the border with Myanmar as is very difficult to get a bike inside that country. China is even harder to get in with a bike as they required you to be acompanied by an inspector all the time and it is very expensive. We travelled from New Delhi to Kathmandu two years ago and we had to fly the bikes to Thailand. Our initial plan was to do the same trip you are planning (without base camp) but we found impossible to do it. Ride safely!:scooter: |
