Nogales to Creel in a day?
 

Planning a trip in a couple of weeks. Some friends are traveling in a Ford/Camper we will be on two wheels.
We plan to hit Nogales AZ in the afternoon and take care of all of the paperwork - then spend the night in Arizona.
I have searched and have not found what I am looking for - can we plan on leaving Nogales AZ in the morning and making it to Creel (Hotel Villa Mexicana) in a day?

No problem, but go via Casas Grande from Douglas/Agua Prieta rather than Hermosillo and Hwy 16, if you need to do it in one day, and during daylight hours.
Hwy 16 is beautiful and one twisty fool.

Thanks. I think we will take two days and go through Nuevo Casas Grandes on the way south. More than likely we will take 16 to the west and exit by way of Nogales
