North-South America
 

Hi,
I'm planning on doing some bike trip in the near future. Just waiting on a bonus from work in around April and then should be ready to go.

I thought a good start would be North America as I would prefer to be near some sort of english speaking civilization if things start to go horribly wrong.
Then would plan on travelling to S America later in the year.

The question is basically if I could buy a bike and all the equipment in the US and take it from there or is there a problem with that for non-US citizens?
