Online maps - useful info for browsers
 

Hi guys

I'm new round here but starting to get some plans together for a trip to Morocco this Autumn and then to Nepal next year...

I came across this website and thought it might be useful for some online route planning:

It seems the maps are courtesy of the beloved CIA...!

I've not downloaded Google Earth yet. What are people's impressions of using this as an aid to route planning?

Thanks for the link. Always interesting to look at some maps.

However, in order to plan an overland trip (or whatever mission the CIA plans), these maps are not detailed enough.

In my opinion nothing beats the Michelin road maps, in combination with the newest edition of a big-format world atlas.

I don't know what I've been messing about with!
Google maps are addictive.... Bring it on!
