Paved or Unpaved, That is the Question

I am planning a :scooter:trip from Alaska down to Prince Rupert in summer 2010. I think that the roads are all paved on the route I plan to use, but would be grateful if any seasoned travellers could confirm this. The route I plan to take is as follows;

Anchorage
Tuk
Beaver Creek
Whitehorse
Watson lake
Dease Lake
Stewart/Hyder
Prince Rupert

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey Guy,

Yup, all paved. You may want to consider purposely venturing onto some unpaved roads for added adventure, specifically I would recommend riding the top of the world highway to Dawson City. It's well maintained, and it is a beautiful ride. Have fun.

It is all paved at one time or another but there is always road construction going on in the summer. Those sections will be torn up.

Def paved though as some say, will no doubt be a few roadworks here and there but at least N America has nice ladies holding the Stop/Go signs.

Even the gravel roads are pretty good up there and Tourances (or whatever) will be fine.

This guy is riding about up there at the moment:

Def stay at The Eagles Claw in Tok, Alaska (hidden behind the trees) and NOT the Sourdough campsite unless you like toe-curling 'comedy' each night with your fellow 'campers' in their huge RVs. The EC campsite is run by a lovely couple Brian and Vanessa and it also has a nice steam room.
