philippines - europe / austria

hi,
i traveled through south east asia, as i bought a motorbike in cambodia.
now i ended up in the flips and my dream is to travel home with it.
the problem i encoutered at my trip is, that many boarder crossings are trouble - big time. i could not enter vietnam (from laos), china (also lao) or even indonisia (boarder near kuching). i always had the visa, but the cambodian plate was the problem (honada xr 400)
now i want to get this bike shipped to china or india (from malaysia, sandakan - kl, then india)
i also could sell it in the flips and fly to india (delhi) and buy a bike there ( if there is a decent available) to try to go home, but as i said my biggest problem are always the customs / boarder crossings. perhaps somebody can heldp.
cheers

Maybe if you can ship the bike to the Jordanian seaport of Aqaba on a CARNET, then you can probably ride from there on thru, syria, turkey to Europe. Its a safe, enjoyable route and customs/border control should also be relatively easy thru those countries as many bikers from Middle-East to Europe pass thru that route. So, I suggest you contact a shipping company in your city who has an agent in Jordan and check all the related issues/documentations/restrictions etc.

As for buying a bike in India- The best of the mass produced ones is the Ninja 250 which should cost about US$ 6,200. The other ones are the Hero-Honda Karizma 225 cc or the Bajaj Pulsar 220 costing between US$ 1,800 to US$ 2,000. Ofcourse, there is always the Royal Enfield Bullet if you know how to repair it yourself 'all along' the way. Also there are few big bore bikes sold officially but they would cost almost twice or thrice the price of the same bike in US (how about a Yam R1 for US$ 33,000)
