Quick question guys: Antalya to Adana
Hey guys,
Just have a quick question. I'm riding form Antalya to Adana in August. Does anybody know what the speed limit is there? I'm trying to evaluate how long it would take me to get there, and I know that the distance is approximately 530 kms... Any help appreciated. Thanks, Mo |
Hi Mohannad
The speed limits in Turkey for the motorbike are 50 km/h in urban areas, 70km/h in national roads and 80km/h in motorways. Its all in http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/country/turkey/#Roads. Take care of the trucks, lorries and busses in Pozanti area near Adana. have a pleasant ride.... ------------------ ride safely ozhan u. www.ozhanu.com |

Just a word of caution. Rode that stretch last month and got a speeding ticket for doing 80kph. It was annoying that you have to travel 10kph less than cars, I don't know why this logic has been applied, but thats the law. Your on video too so if you do get caught take it on the chin and be very apologetic. Sticking to the legal speed can be a pain as you will always have cars, lorries and buses tail gating you. Thanks Julio, appreciate the help.
How was the road surface there? were there many holes and bumps? Do you think I'll be able to do 80kph all the way through? Thanks |
Should be possible, there were a few sections where there was road works and these were slower as you riding on small stones.
There are also a few twisty bits but nothing too serious. The road surface does vary and there are some big potholes, diesel etc on bends so would need to keep your concentration up though. It is a nice stretch to ride. Enjoy Julio |
