road conditions Ndjamena-Abeche and in Sudan
 

We are two bikers heading towards Sudan via Niger and Chad. We have heard different things about the roads in Chad. Can anyone describe the road between Ndjamena and Abeche/the sudanese boarder? Are there any alternative/easier (for bikes) routes What about the route to Karthoum?
Is Abeche a no-go area at the moment?
