Hi,

I want to go to Tanzania, Uganda Ruanda....

And I search for informations about Roads for my Trip planning.

The Road in Tanzania B3 from Singida to Kigali Uganda, is this a good Road ?e.g. Tar surface Traffic, Trucks etc.
Also a good Information is how many time I must spend for the Trip.

Many thanks

Hi,

that´s wonderful.

Let me introduce myself: My Wife and I come from Munich, Germany, and in December 2014 we will go on a east Africa round trip with one Motorcycle, a Big GS 1200 AVD (The driver think, he is a good driver:smartass:)
The Route: I will go to Arusha via Mombasa, then we drive to Ngorngoro crater, Karatu. After visiting the Ngorngoro carter we want to go to the Serengeti. Now my questions:
- have I the opportunity to traverse the Serengeti with my bike? My information is, it is forbidden to ride into the National Park. Or is there a way?

- Is it possible drive south to the Serengeti direction Mwanza or we must use the Road Singida - Nzega - Mwanza. We want then to use the Vessel MV Victoria over the Victoria leake go to Bukoba or you could also use the road.

Many things

Best
Bertl

hi sorry about delay, i am still struggling with this site and didnt get any info telling me you had posted this. I hope you had a safe trip. Hopefully you didnt ride in the park as the lions are a danger. The MV Liemba is a great trip and i hope you enjoyed it. Again I am sorry I didnt reply

Serengeti

Hi Paul,

I plan to ride from Rwanda to the coast via the Serengeti, Arusha etc. Any advice on the best route would be great. I realise you can't ride through the parks but i figure ride close and grab a tour when we really want to get in.

Any ideas?

cheers

Hi all,

My wife and I are currently in Dar es Salaam, planning to go North to Mwanza via, Arusha and the Serengeti. Any news on the road conditions around the Serengeti as we won't be allowed through the park, right?
Thanx,

Anne & Jan

Rd from Arusha-Singida-Nzega-Isaka-Kahama-Nyakisanza all good. Nyakisanza-Rusumo border potholed and 40km + - north of border some roadworks then all good rd to Kigale. Came this way last week. All sealed not much traffic a few trucks and buses many police/speed traps take 3 days..

Hi
its pothole time on the roads, post rainy season and not yet repaired. There are speed checks all over Tanzanian roads. An official speeding fine is 30,000tzs. Have a cup of tea officer is about 10,000tzs. They wont let you in the park on a bike.
Sorry about delay in my reply. Still not got my head around this site.
I plane to ride back to UK in Sept this year up the West coast if you fancy a return ride.
Cheers Burb
