Roll-on/roll-off , RORO Europe to east Usa.
Hi guys, and I am back with a new question.
I am planning in few months to go back to USA, to ship my car back home. I was thinking to do this. to choose a RORO, transport, and also to get a cabin on the ship to cross the Atlantic ( somewhere from Rotterdam, to New York or Boston, USA.) I wonder if somebody else did this before, but for me its not about time, and I can spend this time on the ship, also I want my way home to California to stop in many places crossing from East to West. I need some help and some direction for quotes and possibilities to complete this plan. and if there are ships that accept roro and passengers on board. I heard of some experiences before but not sure how to do it.. Thanks everybody. |
Transatlantic "RORO", Europe to USA, usually refers specifically to the specialty vehicle freight-ONLY service offered by
Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics - Cars and unless you're certified crew or an owner of that company, those RORO ships do not have separate passenger cabin service available on the same ship. There may be passenger cruise lines that still offer transatlantic carriage of passenger-owned vehicles--Cunard's Queen Mary used to do that-- Our Luxury Cruise Ships : Cunard Cruise Line - Cunard but I don't think that's possible any longer. |
