Route Advice South to North America
Two of us are planning on coming into Sao Paulo, Brazil at the end of November and would like to ride down to the south a bit and then north through Argentina and Chile, all the way to North America in about 5 months or so. The only thing is it sounds like it rains a bit there during Dec/Jan/Feb in certain areas. Anyone have any good advice on where to go at what time of the year. We would like to do some mountain trekking if possible along the way.
Thanks, Jolanta |
I'm certainly no expert, although I have made the trip once. I would like to do it again something. Some of my photos are linked below. I think December is a great time to go south from Brazil to Ushuaia and back up north. You may want to get through Central America before the rainy season of the springtime and Alaska's driest month is June. So, starting out in November and taking a slow ride north makes good sense. Sounds like you have a good gameplan. Please keep us posted along the way. South America 2006
