Route planning, saving in Google maps, TIPS
 

When planning a route, in f.x. Australia, select the walk option, if you want to go on rougher terrain.

To change/correct a route, you can click the route and pull it to a new location

When double clicking a junction, in the route description, you get a picture of the junction, if available.

Single click in the route description, moves the map to the new location, incl. picture if avalable.

For saving and maybe later editing a map do this:

Start a fresh page or a previous map
Do your route
Click link (top right chain symbol)
Copy top link
Paste in IE, click GO
Add bookmark
