Routes Help! Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine, Poland and Czech Republic
Hello Again,
It's time for us to plan the second stage of our trip and we're hoping to be traveling through Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine, Poland and Czech Republic. On and off road routes would be great. Last time I posted route help on here I had a great response so hope you don't mind me asking again and as promised stage 1 was filmed and is currently being made into episodes for you all to watch (See Here: Aim For The Horizon). Plan to do the same with this stage as well. Thanks in advance. Rob |
We must spent a mo th doing a route like yours a d we loved Romania. However be careful of scam in Transnitsia. You think you are in Moldova but you are not! It is about the size of Kent a d the want money to enter, fair enough it is about £3, but the bentCustoms guys try it again as you leave about 1 hour later to get into Moldova proper

Get in touch if you need help finding your way around Romania. We are long time bikers, we ride both on and off road bikes and we can help with advice, route planning and getting you around problems while riding through Romania. We can also give you advice about Bulgaria.
Cheers! |
I wish you would give UA a big fat miss
people are great Police thugs Take Odeca I never felt more in danger there, than any other place than Moscow There are no rules in Ua, and if you hit a shiny new Merc, you are at fault, full stop Ro, Bg, gee roads are very dangerous and you are at risk wild camping, but hey I did it, albeit is a Disco |
sorry should help and not be so neg
Krym is beautiful Sebastopol, where the Ru fleet has a base, Semferopl You would be safe camping on the coast Beware thieves in Odeca So you have to enter via Hungary or Pl Expect huge wait in Pl Drive to the very front of the Queue eh and just act like you own the place Russians hate weakness(70% of Ua is Ru) At the head of the queue you may get some pimp front up and ask for some bucks to get you through faster, 20 dollars could save a day |
Bulgaria:
- Troyan Pass - From Lake Batak to Sarnitsa (843) - Dospat to Kardzali (take the side roads....) - From Troyan to Teteven (only place I've seen Mule trains) - And if you really have to; the Shipka Pass with a trip to Buzludzha. Lots to see..... Casper |
