RTW (May 2005 - May 2007)+@
 

Dear Guys..

Let me introduce first..^^
I'm 32,male,Korean and holder of Australian residenceship.
I quit my job 4 months ago and been preparing the RTW while climbined the mountain twice a week and walk along the beach 3 hours a day to increase my fitness in small beach town until yesterday.
Today,I come back to my hometown(Seoul city)
to get basic maintenace course from BMW.
I'll buy the bike(F650GS) at Melbourn in Apr and start RTW in May 2005.
(This is my first long trip on bike and will spend 50,000 USD including the bike price, which is the 90% of my total saving..^^)

I am also planning a trip to middle east on june-july 2006 depending on my bank accound http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/smile.gif my route will be UK>Italy>Ferry>Turkey>Syria>Lebanon>Jordan >S.Arabia>Oman>UAE>Qatar>Bahrain>Iran> Turkey>Ferry>Italy>UK. As far as I know, there is no difficult borders in this route, just there is no border crossing between S.Arabia and Yemen and you cant enter some of the Arab counties if you have Israeli stamp on your passport. Except this everything looks smooth.

It is possible to enter S.Arabia.?

Yes, it is possible to enter S.Arabia. They may give you only a transit visa, even so, it worth to go there. Good Luck.

Dear guys;

Does my planning route have too tight schedule?
I mean..Unrealistic?
I'm thinking of cutting the route as
North-South america-New Zealand-Australia.
6-6-2-6 months.

Please,let me know your opinion.^^

For NZ two months is the minimum. Remember, you have to fly your bike in and out, which makes it an expensive 8 weeks.

Also remember the timing: Feb/Mar is best, avoid the period outside Nov to April, it's wet and often not very warm at all.
