HI!

What are the prices for a night in a hotel-motel with hot shower in European part of Russia (Murmansk to Moscow)

Planing,and need to astimate expences,
how much for food in road side restaurants?

Any expiriances from this route?

Accomodation prices varies without any logic.

Sometimes you find a very nice place ina very nice district of a town for 10$/night and two days later a "adams family" type of hotel in a forgotten town will ask you 20$. So i think its best to make a budget for 20$/night and wish for the best.

Food is cheap. You can dine yourself for 5$ a day.

exactly there s no logic
i slept on the road (restaurants, locals, gastinitse for truckers) through russia from estonia to mongolia then kazakhstan, never for more than 2- usd, but local style no hot shower, mostly on the floor or a bad bed or sofa.
anyway, after vodka (almost every night), you sleep well.
hotels can be bloody expensive in big cities, i remember a 50 usd night in irkutsk and i finally slept outside big cities, 20 usd for a dorm in st pet and moscow
i was there twice in spring summer 2002
