Is there any new information on the best way to get from the USA to Russia. Is the bering straight a ferry instead of shipping the bike on a plane. I would basically like to be with my bike the whole time, and avoid shipping it at all. Im trying to go from East USA to WEST USA, through Cananda,to Alaska, then to cross to russia and ride down to southern China.

Bering Straight is NOT a ferry crossing - NO chance. Understand that there is little to NO traffic across this stretch. The only hope is by plane, and that's very iffy - sometimes it seems possible, other times no way. Search the site thoroughly for Alaska and Russia - it has been done, but not in the last year that I can recall.
