Saudi To England

Hi All,
I am in the early stages of planning my ride home when I finnish my contract.
I have 20 years riding in diferent parts of Saudi racing motocross, trail riding and road riding.Have owned loads of bikes up to my new 650 V-Strom which will take me home.
Which way do you think I should go ?
My original route was through Jordan, Syria, Turkey, Greece, what was Jugoslavia, Venice Italy, France and home. Recent events have made me consider going via Egypt, Lybia, Tunisia, ferry over to Italy, France then home.
The idea is to ride home not to go sight seeing except where the sights are enroute.I will be riding alone and camping most places with the occasional hotel stop to get a good wash and sort out.
I had heard that bikes can go the coast road through Lybia without an escort and alone, if this is not the case then that route is out.
Look forward to your comments and observations.
Cheers

Nice idea, I'd love to ride frm Malaysia-Saudi, but we(malaysians) still have to ship the bike frm BKK to Dhaka or Nepal. Theres a lot info in the HUB (if you seek, you shall find) :thumbup1: Didnt know that theres alot of biking going on in Saudi. Like to hear more about the motorcycle comunity over there! pm me if u like.

Hi Osama,
The biggest club is the Harley Dhahran Chapter who have been known to look after visiting Harley bikers. This is run by Harley Davidson Dhahran, they have a web site.
Other dealers include Suzuki,Honda,Kawasaki,Yamaha and Ducati. BMW are in Riyadh and over in Bahrain
I used to race motocross in Jeddah but that was mostly expats, most Saudis seem to prefer sports bikes and there are some fast guys who go on track days in Bahrain.
Cheers

I know this is an old thread but I am looking to return in a few months time on my bike from Riyadh in Saudi to Europe ans would oove advice about ways to et back avoiding Syria. I am considering Iran or through Egypt, but ferries seem few and far between now, and Israel is a no go due to visas for when i need to return to KSA.

Has anyone done this recently? Help would be welcomed. I still have several months to plan this and situations may change but any assistance or views are welcome.

Cheers,
Vince
