season west africa
 

hello,
I have 4 months off this summer (june-oct)and would like to travel the african west coast from morocco to cape town. If I take a coastal road will it be the right season to do this trip, or should I start in cape town and drive up to europe?

Hello,

Generally the right time to leave for Capetown is around Okt/Nov/Dec, so Sahara is not too hot and plenty of time before the rains hit the equatorial regions around May.

Since u r from NL, have a look at the forum on http://www.ferdw.net/ there is some (allroad) riding at 7 March some these have driven to Capetown...
