Seattle, USA --> Terra del Fuego round trip: how long?
 

Hello, my fellow adventurers!

I am planning a round trip from Seattle, USA to Terra del Fuego, Argentina and back again.

I would like to take the time to do this trip properly - filming, photographing, stopping to sample local flavour, but yet still essentially doing a point-to-point road trip.

How long should I budget for such a trip?

I was thinking that a six-month sabbatical from work should be ample time to complete the round-trip voyage...but would it in fact take half that time?

Obviously there are a zillion variables, but let's assume (!) that I am a fairly competent person of reasonable financial means, and relatively well-organised.

Please advise!
