Silk road
 

I want to do the silk road next summer but i really need your help to plan the journey! would it be possible give me some information on which countries i should go and which country I should not go.

I went through the northern 'stans last year (TM, UZ, KZ) and they were all fine. I originally intended to go through KYR and TJK into China then Pakistan but this was not feasible for a variety of reasons (money money and money).

The roads are a lot better than I expected and got a bit dull in places but great people and places nonetheless

Do you think that Iran and pakistan is risky?

not unless you ride through there in a George Bush mask and with a huge American flag on a pole at the back of your bike
