Singapore to Vladivostok

Hi All,

I am currently toying with the idea of doing Singapore to Vladivostok via Iran and central Asia. With Myanmar becoming more friendly does anyone know what the state of the boarder crossing are now?

When I did my last trip in 2009 the borders and Assam was a no-go area.. Has much changed?
