Skopje to Dresden
I am looking at planning my route back up north in Europe.
Also looking at meeting a friend in Dresden I have done a rough calculation from Skopje to Dresden and its about 1000 mile (give or take). I am hoping to have around 15 days to do it in. Does anyone have any places worth a visit on my rough route on Google Earth? I want to visit Prague but other than that I am open to suggestions, would prefer not to deviate too far from the rough route. https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5638/...6970fd10_c.jpgScreen Shot 2015-11-05 at 18.08.49 by Wayne 66, on Flickr Thanks Wayne |
Go West young man!
And the best part of travelling is when you do deviate! Forget routing; decide on a sort of direction and go explore. Or look up all the places near you in Lonely Planet and....avoid them all! You'll get to meet up with local residents that way who know all the real gems☺ The Italian Alps then the Swiss Alps taking in a bottle of Fendant with cheese fondue , then onto Dijon for a good dollop of Boeuf Bourguignon and maybe a winery visit ? before the run back to Blighty. Don't leave Montenegro before meeting Blazo! |

Try the Sumava Mountain region of the Czech Republic, places like Trebic, Telc and Lake Lipno.
