South Dakota/California to Canada (summer trip)
 

Hello everyone!

I currently live in Southern California but home is South Dakota. My plans are to graduate with my MS and spend a summer riding around Canada on a dual-sport bike. For a small bio, the outdoors are no stranger to me and I've been dreaming of getting a bike hitting, the backcountry roads, camping, catching every sunrise and/or sunset, all while trying to meet up with a friend up in Anchorage, AK. So questions abound but three stick out for me in major uncertainties.
1. Should I change residence to CA for easier access to bikes? (I graduate in May 2018)
2. Any awesome suggestions for biking in Canada to Alaska?
3. Do you have a sweet dual-sport bike for sale in CA/SD?
