Sudan paved roads
 

Hope this is the right place for this post.

Hi guys, it seems that, thanks to Chinese works, today both the roads from Wadi Halfa to Khartoum are paved.
1) The road (near the Nile), through DONGOLA
2) and the eastern road (by the railway), through ATBARA

Questions:
- is it true? both paved?
- which is the best road? (apparently the ATBARA one is faster (900 km, vs 1100 of Dongola option)
- Gasoline on the road?

Travelled that last year, Khart North to Atbara, then West to Dongola, then North again to Wadi.
No problems, all good tar. Fuel about every 3 - 400 km.
