i am wondering if anyone out their recently has crossed from thialand to myamar burm and was it all legal or is it as hard as china which sounds impossible thanks

in my experiences, its possible (without your bike) to cross into burma (ie. for a visa run from thailand) but the visa is only good for a day or so, but inorder to get a longer visa one must fly into the country. as far as bringing your own personal bike into the country i would think it much easier to bring it into china. there used to be a company that offered a guided tour of burma (i dont know with whos bike). http://asianbiketour.com/ china has its fair share of red tape but at least it is possible.
