Tampico -> Vera Cruz

Is it feasable to go from Tampico, Mex to Vera Cruz, Mex in one day? I'll be on a KLR.

You may be able to do it but it may be worth your life to try, given the obstructions you can expect to find on that road. And it is beyond dangerous to be on that road after dark.
Try to take your time, stop for a smoothie in Tecolutla, and arrive in Vera Cruz intact. It's a beautiful city and worth a visit.
